“There is nothing happening on this earth right now that is more important. There is nothing of greater consequence. Absolutely nothing” – President Russel M. Nelson
We are blessed to be engaged in the latter-day work to invite all to come unto Christ and receive the blessing of the restored gospel. Our efforts can help individuals and families find lasting peace, joy, and prepare for the Savior’s return.
2026 Goals:
Strengthen our ward by;
- Love, Share, Invite
- Encouraging the entire ward family to participate in missionary work and the ward monthly missionary goal.
How we plan to accomplish our goals:
Relief Society
- Each ward member prayerfully invites at least one friend, neighbor, coworker, or family member to sacrament meeting during the year. Emphasis on loving invitation, not pressure.
- Host one low-pressure, welcoming activity each quarter (service project, holiday open house, fireside, family activity, or community night) specifically designed to invite nonmembers.
- Intentionally reach out to visitors, investigators, and new members with warmth, follow-up invitations, and personal connection.
- Organize meal calendars, service help, and appropriate care packages to support full-time missionaries and create natural opportunities for member involvement.
- Encourage Relief Society-wide prayer (and occasional fasting) for missionaries, investigators, and specific ward missionary goals.
- Pair new or returning sisters with experienced Relief Society members to help them feel confident, included, and spiritually nourished.
- Incorporate lessons and discussions on how missionary work looks in daily life—kindness, service, listening, and testimony through example.
- Use social media, handouts, or RS counseling time to include simple missionary reminders such as “Who can I invite?” or “Who needs Christ’s love this month?”
Elders Quorum
- Ask for missionary moments at the beginning class and encourage them to pray for missionary opportunities; invite the full time missionaries to share meaningful insight on missionary work.
- Encourage brothers to meet missionaries for lessons or church tours.
- Regularly give names to less active / part-member families we feel who are interested in coming back to or joining the fold.
- Promote feeding the missionaries. Make sure all know they can feed more than one set.
- Ensure friends of the missionaries get an invite to activities or service projects.
- Make sure friends who are on date for baptism have a ministering bro assigned before the baptism.
- Assist new members in getting to the temple within 30 days.
- Help new converts progress along their covenant path.
Young Men
- The YM will strive to have one non-member attend weekly activities each month.
- Priests will go on team-ups with the missionaries and will report their experiences back to the quorum on the following quorum meeting.
- Invite all to take that month’s missionary challenge.
- Combine forces with another youth group in our community, once a year, to perform a service project.
- Implement a missionary moment at the start of priesthood quorum – sharing missionary experiences.
Young Women
- The YW will strive to have one non-member attend weekly activities each month.
- Invite all to take that month’s missionary challenge.
- Implement a missionary moment at the start of young women class meetings – sharing missionary experiences.
- Have a family history moment once a month from each of the young women classes. This would be an assignment for a young women to research a family history story or experience and share it with the group.
- Send a welcome letter to all non-attending girls to let them know who we are and invite them to join.
Primary
- Missionary Moment: We will implement a “Missionary Moment” during the first five minutes of Sharing Time. Children can share their experiences inviting friends to church, Valiant Days, or other Ward and Primary activities.
- Missionary Lessons: We will invite families of children preparing for baptism to have the missionaries teach a mini-lesson.
- Baptism/Confirmation Meeting: We will hold an annual meeting for all children turning eight years old to support their preparation.
- Fellowshipping Inactive Members: We will identify and visit inactive families (clarifying “do not contact” status). We may invite teachers or classmates to accompany these visits to build connections.
- Targeted Activities: We will plan Primary activities specifically designed to welcome less active children and new friends.
- Focus on Love: All activities will focus on love, kindness, and helping every child feel Heavenly Father’s love.
Sunday School
- Implement a missionary moment at the start of Sunday School Class – sharing missionary experiences.
- Invite all to take that month’s missionary challenge.
- Introduce and welcome all new members and non members at the beginning of each class.
Bishopric
- A member of the Bishopric will invite all those giving a talk in sacrament to invite non-members to church to hear their talk.
- Will ensure that ward activities are appropriately planned to invite non-member friends.
- Will encourage all families to join in with the Love, Share, Invite mission focus.
- Will encourage all families to participate in the wards monthly missionary goal.
- Will have a monthly ward council meeting to discuss our progress and the covenant path progress of recent converts
Missionaries / Ward Mission
- Visit all families that are new and recently moved into our ward boundaries.
- Help members learn and execute: Love, Share, Invite.
- Will follow up with those giving talks and extend any possible help with writing the talk as well as help the members brainstorm on who they could invite to come out and listen to the talk.
- Support the full time missionaries by participating in teaching lessons with friends, inviting them into our home as circumstances permits.
- Making sure our ward activities have a focus on inviting non members as well as less active friends.
- When children born into the covenant are baptized, we will show our love and support to them in their decision to become disciples of Christ while making their covenants with Heavenly Father.
- We will encourage members to participate in more discussions and activities with non members, less active members, and ministering assignments. Helping create friendships, relationships, and a warm environment. Strengthening our new members, giving them a sense that they belong and are a part of our church family.
- Teaching how to hear promptings of the Holy Spirit.
