Temple and Family History

Encourage all to prepare for and take part in the blessings of Temple worship (accessing God’s power through making and keeping sacred covenants)…

  1. Provide all necessary training and preparations in a timely manner for Temple worship, and help facilitate transportation as needed, for all desiring to go.
  2. Go to the House of the Lord as often as circumstances allow.  Support Stake Temple Days and schedule semiannual Ward Temple Days.  Where feasible and appropriate, consider serving as Temple workers.

Areas of focus to include…

  1. Assign consultants and ministers to help all members who are interested, especially new and returning members and youth, receive ordinances of salvation for their ancestors through the use of Family Name Assist, Ordinances Ready, Family Search, and other tools.
  2. Inspire Temple worship through Sacrament Meeting talks, annual combined 2nd hour meetings, annual Priesthood and Temple Preparation Meeting for Primary children of age, as well as regular sharing of testimonies of and gratitude for the blessings of Temple worship, ordinances, and covenants in various settings including 2nd hour classes.
  3. Encourage and facilitate all interested youth (including 2nd Branch youth) participation in baptismal sessions.
